Wester's offers a number of programming options, from an 87-93 dual octane tune providing modest HP and torque gains up through a "hot" 91/93 dual octane tune that will blow away any other programmer's so-called "hot" tune. Advantages of custom tuning over handheld programmers

While many handheld programmers claim performance gains, what they fail to tell you is that most of those gains are only available at the top end of your RPM range. Wester's programming will give you both HP and torque gains across the entire RPM range of your vehicle. Many vehicle owners will also experience modest mileage gains ranging from 1 to 4 MPG. Each tune is customized for your vehicle based upon the VIN of your vehicle. Wester's first updates the PCM with the latest program available for your vehicle, then modifies that program based upon the parameters you specify. Some of the parameters Wester's can modify include:

  • Shift timing and shift points
  • Torque converter lock-up points
  • Electric cooling fan on-off times
  • Torque management reduction/removal
  • Supercharger mods
  • Tire sizes/speedo calibrations
